What is the IB Programme?
The International Baccalaureate Organization was founded in Geneva, Switzerland in 1968 to help facilitate the international mobility of students preparing for university by providing a curriculum recognized by universities around the world. Since then, it has grown to make an IB education available to students of all ages. To find out more about the IB Organization, visit their website at http://www.ibo.org .
Mission of CAP IB Boosters
The International Baccalaureate Parents Booster Organization is for the parents of students in grades 9-12 who are involved with the Pre-IB and the IB certificate or diploma program. We provide funding through donations and fundraising to support IB students and teachers, supply special recognition awards for IB students, support and sponsor the annual Senior IB Graduation Dinner and winter reunion.
IB Exams are costly and students are expected to contribute towards the test fees which continue to go up every year. This increases our need to help students and their parents to continue in the IB Program. Please get involved and make a difference.
We are asking for a donation of $10 per family. Please make checks payable to Capuchino IB Parent Organization. For more information, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
IB Boosters will hold our year-end planning meeting on Wednesday, April 26, 7:00 PM, in the Capuchino library. Our IB Coordinator, Martee Lopez-Schmitt, will be giving us an update on upcoming changes in IB and options for the Diploma Program, and planning for year end testing. We also will be making plans for the IB Seniors Year End Recognition Reception on May 19. Many volunteers will be needed to make this a successful event. Please contact Nina Keys (650) 588-5728 or email@example.com with questions or if you cannot make the meeting. Hope to see you all on April 26th.
