In Memoriam
Ralph Bredenberg, Capuchino High School band director from 1953-1976 and dean of marching band in the Bay Area, passed away October 1. Under his direction, the Cap Band represented the State of California and marched in the 1961 Inaugural Parade for President John F Kennedy. In addition, the band won numerous awards at both the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena and the Western Band Review in Long Beach. When Ralph retired, he moved to Turlock where he was director of bands at Turlock Christian. There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday November 7 at noon at the Crossroads Community Church in Turlock.
