Soph Challenge Day Parent-Volunteers Needed

We are looking for adult volunteers to come assist with Challenge Day on Wednesday, October 22nd & November 19th. Challenge day is run by an outside organization whose campaign is to stop bullying, build empathy and create unity among the student body. Some of our students have described the experience as "life changing."  We are fortunate to bring back Challenge Day for the 3rd consecutive year.

The day is structured into 2 parts: group activities in the morning, with all the students & adults, and the 2nd part of the day we  break up into small groups of 8. Attached is the web address for the event: www.challengeday.org that will provide you a more detailed description of the program and activities. Adult volunteers would need to arrive on campus from 7:45-3:30 and bring your own bag lunch. We need volunteers to help through out the day, you will receive some training the morning of the event by the challenge day leaders. Without adult support we will be unable to have the event.

Please feel free to pass this email along to other family members who would be interested in participating. If you are able to attend please contact me at  650-558-2776 or lgovea@smuhsd.org for further details.

I look forward to hearing from you!
